We independently verify professional licences by checking against the relevant public licensing body or registry. For these credentials, "Verified against issuing body" means CoachCheck staff confirmed the licence directly with the issuing authority.
Certifications, coaching credentials, and academic degrees are submitted by coaches and displayed as "Submitted by coach · not independently verified." No central registry exists for most coaching certifications, so we cannot independently confirm them. We display coach-submitted documentation as provided.
We do not verify years of experience claims, self-reported achievements, testimonials, or results claims. We do not verify social media following or engagement metrics.
Verified (✓) means we have independently confirmed the credential with the issuing institution. Partial (◑) means some credentials have been verified but others remain unconfirmed. No Credentials (✗) means we have found no verifiable academic degrees, professional licences, or recognised certifications on file.
A No Credentials status does not mean a coach has no value or expertise. It means we have not been able to independently verify formal qualifications. Buyers should weigh this alongside reviews and other available information.
Coaches who have claimed their profile may submit credentials for verification by providing documentation and the contact details of the issuing institution. We will verify and update the profile within 14 business days. We reserve the right to display verification status accurately regardless of coach preference.
If a credential is displayed incorrectly on a profile, coaches may submit a correction request with supporting documentation. We will investigate and correct genuine errors within 7 business days.
